Cheongye Mountain Villa is a weekend residence located in the rural greenbelt surrounding Seoul. Greenbelt law requires adherence to rural and agricultural land uses and management practices.

 

The garden is designed to highlight the site characteristic landforms, to positively fulfill its obligations in the watershed, and to partially reintroduce and integrate agricultural crops in the overall planting concept. Seen from inside the building the garden offers quiet repose and a celebration of seasonal change. A stroll path circling the entire site invites to explore the garden and immerse into the feeling of deep mountain ruralness.
